Mary Slattery,

New York Bar Foundation Immigration Fellow

Mary Slattery joined PLS' Immigration Unit as a New York Bar Foundation Fellow in December 2017. Mary is a 3rd year law student at Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, MA, where she is a Public Interest Law Scholar and has concentrated mainly on immigration, refugee, and employment law. Over the last few years she has completed internships with the Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review in San Francisco, CA, Legal Centre Lesbos in Lesvos, Greece, Northwest Workers’ Justice Project in Portland, OR, and the Mekong Migration Network in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Prior to law school, Mary spent four years as a Paralegal Case Handler, both with the Immigration Unit of the Legal Aid Society in New York City and with the Immigrant Worker Project in Canton, OH. Mary received her B.A. in Political Science and Latin American Studies from Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH.
